Installation Note for connecting DTE and DCE Devices
The Simplex Serial expansion card is a DCE device with a DB9 connector.
Use a regular straight cable when connecting this port to a laptop or any other DTE device.
Use a crossover cable (= null modem cable) when connecting the port to another DCE device.
